Pooi See Lee
Pooi See received her Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore in 2002. She was awarded the 2002 Norman Hackermann Young Author Award by The Electrochemical Society, United States. She joined NTU at the School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) as Assistant Professor in 2004. Pooi See received her tenured Associate Professor in 2009 and promoted to Full Professor in 2014. Prof. Lee was awarded the National Day Award, Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2014 for her academic services to the university. From 2016, she served as the Associate Dean (Faculty Recruitment and Development) in the College of Engineering. She is appointed as the Dean of Graduate College in NTU from Jan 2020.
Her research focuses on hybrid nanomaterials for flexible and stretchable electronics, energy harvesting and storage, wearable technology and human-machine interface. She won the TechConnect Innovation Award 2015 in Washington. She was awarded the National Research Foundation Investigatorship in 2015, and she received the Nanyang Research Excellence Award 2016. In 2017, Prof. Lee received the Nanyang Award for Innovation and Enterpreneurship for her efforts in translational research and commercialization. Pooi See holds more than 25 filed or granted patents and has authored 8 book chapters, with more than 280 publications in international refereed journals. Pooi See is recognized as one of the Highly Cited Researcher 2018 and 2019 (top 1% by citations for field and year) by the Clarivate Analytics, Web of Science.
