National Institute for Materials Science, Japan

Mohammad Khazaei is currently a visiting scientist at Yokohama National University, Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Tohoku University, Japan and MSc and BSc in condensed matter physics from Sharif University of Technology and Isfahan University of Technology in Iran, respectively. He worked as a researcher at three top research institutes in Japan: RIKEN center for computational science, the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), and the Institute for Materials Research (IMR). His research interest is to investigate the emergent quantum phenomena at the nanoscale using first-principles calculations so as to design and tailor advanced functional materials both for fundamental research and applications in electronics and energy devices.
