Majid Beidaghi is an Assistant Professor of Materials Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Florida International University in 2012. Then, he was postdoc and later researcher associate at A. J. Drexel nanomaterials Institute and the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Drexel University from 2012 to 2015. He received the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement award in 2017 and NSF CAREER award in 2019. The current research in Beidaghi’s group focuses on the synthesis of advanced materials such as MXenes and other 2D materials and the development of manufacturing methods for applications such as energy storage (batteries and supercapacitors), sensors, and separation membranes.
